Birthday Time...

I apologise for the neglect, this past week has just been so hectic.

So, it was my birthday on Tuesday (last Tuesday), and I did absolutely diddly squit. I still haven't been out into town, I still haven't bought any alcohol or anything normal people do when they turn 18. I'm a bore, I know. I just haven't really been fussed, I do really do birthdays anyway, but I don't really know what's wrong with me. Everyone else my age would have been out practically every night. I guess I have better things to spend my money on right now. GOD I sound old! Save me!

Anyway, so I was really excited about what I got for my birthday. From my mum I got some things for my room (when it's finally decorated)!

This was plain until mum bought it. (an ebay buy) ;) She 'shabby sheeked' it up as she said. HAH. She sanded off some of the paint to make it look old and vintage like, then added the butterflies, and gem stones, which you can't actually see in the picture. The back mum did as well. i love it! The writing says " True Beauty lies within, yours will shine so brightly that I know it will be blinding". She was trying to get me a full dressing table, but didn't see one she liked that wasn't a guzillion pounds.

Due to the fact that this is see-through, it was hard to take a photo where you could actually see it, hence the funny angle. On the branches there are little birds (oh hello batman ring! :D) The bracelet hanging was also a birthday present, it was from Marc's mum. :) I sort of have a bird-ey, butterfly-ey, vintage-ey theme going on in my room. Or I will have... So this jewellery stand was also from my mum.

This is supposed to be a 'notice board' but I'm going to put photos on it instead. It can be hung by that chain, or there's little hooks to hook it up instead... This was also from mum, notice a theme? :) It's all metal, I'm just scared I'm going to bend it before it gets put up. I think this was bought in BHS actually, along with my new duvet set, which I don't actually have a photo of...

This was from my nan, this was my main present along with random bits like iTunes voucher, new memory stick, a necklace etc. This is actually really heavy (though what do you expect from a box made of glass?) It opens up at the sides like doors which has hooks on the inside for necklaces and the obviously the draws on the front... It doesn't half gather dust though!

This was from my daddy. It's white gold, with a gold smaller heart inside, and apparently 1/2 a carrot of diamond... Not to brag or anything. ;) The picture is really bad, I took it just now, in the dark so... But yes, this was my present from dad, along with some money.

Overall I think I got about £350 for my birthday, but those along with lots of other little presents from everyone made up my 18th birthday. Maybe I'll go out this weekend, who knows? But I'm quite happy spending my money shopping for my holiday! which is like 60 odd days away, by the way! So excited. Except for my jabs that I have to have...

That's all for now... Byee.

P.S all these photos were taken on my NEW camera, which my lovely boyfriend got me... :D YAY!

Bling-a-Ling

As you all know, I'm a little bit in love with Wanelo, and through Wanelo I've found Etsyand some other websites. I just thought I'd share some of the BARGAIN jewellery I've found and love on there.

Isn't this just the cutest thing you've ever seen? It's only $3.99, Etsy.

This I just fell in love with, it's just casual, but so pretty. $15.50, Etsy.

I have a bit of a thing for owls at the moment, I'm not quite sure why... But these lovely little owls caught my eye and at only $12.99 each, how could you refuse? 1. Etsy2. Etsy.

This is just adorable, so simple but adorable. £7.95, Etsy.

At only $1.99 you can barely believe it, it's just so elegant! Gofavor.

This is actually 14K Gold Fill. At $34.00 that is still cheap! It's just so simple, but it has such an impact, or is it just me? ShopTigerTree.

Okay so I said that the elephant was the cutest thing, but oh my god. This is... Just... I'm lost for words. Awhhh. $20.00, Etsy.

To finish off we have this. A really pretty necklace that I, in fact, have myself. It was given to me as a present after I was pointing out things I liked on Wanelo. (which of course was practically the whole website!) I personally wear the key rather than the heart. Again, Etsyis our saviour. Who could resist at $26.00?

Peace Out.

Batman FOREVER.

It's finally here!

For those of you who have read my previous blogs, you'll know I've been waiting for this Batman ring for months. Today it finally arrived! I was so excited. I ordered it from Etsy. A girl makes them herself and the rings come in 3 different colours; silver, gold and pink. For about $7.50, that's including shipping from America to the UK, I thought that was a bargain!

It came in this little envelope, and I got covered in little flowery confetti, it was a lovely personal touch from the maker. There was also that funny little house shaped thingy with water and floaty things inside. I have no idea what it is, but it's cute.

I just love it.

That's all for now. Ciao. :)

Oh, Hello Red.

So I got bored, and dyed my hair RED, basically. God knows how long it'll last as dye appears to just wash out of my hair. And yes, before you say it, I do buy permanent hair dye, it just fades and goes back to my not so natural, natural hair colour...

So, here's hoping it stays RED, at least until I get bored again.

Easter Time.

Honestly, I'm a little disappointed... and ANGRY.

First off, not to sound like a little brat or anything, but I only got 2 Easter eggs and a bunny named Bramble. I went out and bought mine, my brothers and his girlfriends Easter eggs and I was begging my dad to let me open mine during last week, but he said no, no, no, not until Sunday. Then when he gave in, I didn't want it any more because he'd given in. So stupid.

Anyway, so I go round on Monday, look up at the cupboard to find one Easter egg left. My brothers girlfriends one. I was fuming! Dad gave her my Easter egg! This is where I was a little brat, I cried. Swear down, I have no idea what came over me. I was acting like a 5 year old. I didn't even act like that when I was 5... So, he gave away my Easter egg, but the thing that gets me is that she knew which one was hers. I told her!

This was meant to be my Easter egg... I was so looking forward to it... I saw it and knew it was the one for me. I even tried looking online, but the only place that sold them was Tesco, and they haven't got any left. IF YOU FIND ANY FOR SALE PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW, I would be eternally grateful...

However, from the boyf, I did get a packet of mini creme eggs and Bramble. I can't come to bring myself to eat him. I had to keep Kebo away from him though... He kept eyeing Bramble up.

Apart from the lack of chocolate, I actually had a good weekend. Worked on the Saturday, but went to Marc's in the evening and stayed until the Monday. We went to his dads for Easter lunch, was the first time I've met him and my god I was nervous. All I can say is thank god for Fresh Prince of Bel Air! That was on in the background and saved us all from very uncomfortable small talk or even silence. It was all fine though, had a bit of a giggle at Marc and his brother on Fifa... That was about it really.

If I had all the money in the world...

...A lot of it would be spent on Wanelo

I am so in love with this website. It has everything you could imagine, and everything else that you haven't imagined. Almost everything you see it's like I want that, I need that... Some things you have no idea what they are or why you want them, but you do.

Unfortunately, there was only 1 of these... But it was on Etsy

This is beautiful, it's elegant but still quite modern in a way. And I love the colours and the headboard is to die for. Of course, the problem with me is that I don't have a specific style or era that I like. I might see something like this bed on one page and then on the next page there might be something else I like that's completely different.

QLOCKTWO Wall Clock $995,Amazon

See, completely different, yet I want it.

I've been thinking a lot lately about what to have in my room. I completely fell in love with this bed from Dreams.

Venice Bedstead, £199, Dreams
So I bought it with my Christmas bonus. It was out of stock at the time so I had to wait until the 21st of February! When it finally came me and my mum put it all together, following the instructions to the letter. It looked good! Besides the fact I didn't have a double mattress..

And then... I sat on it.

It broke... I finally received a new bed after waiting another 3 weeks. I still haven't put that one together yet. No time or no one to help me. Plus a little bit of fear that it's going to break again. So yes, this is my oh-so-lovely bed that I wanted since I saw it. And yet, it's completely different to many other things I want in my room. In a way I'm glad I have 3 homes, I can style each one differently. YAY.

Mini Recycled Light Bulb Oil Lamp on Natural Wood Half Dome Base, £22.60

Etsy
I mean, what is that? I have no use for that, I would never use it, but I want it. It's just things like this, or a dress, or even wallpaper. I see it, and want it, even if I know I'd never use it or wear it. This is the Wanelo Effect. This is what it does to you. It tells you you want this, you know you do. The only thing stopping me from buying everything on there are the prices of some things. However, I must admit, I got myself a bloody good bargain the other day. I fell in love with it from the moment I first saw it a few months ago, unfortunately the lady who makes them had ran out of the silver band, so I waited and waited and then *ping* and e-mail came through saying she had them back in and could send me one in the next week or so. I LOVE IT.

Should I be studying?

How hard does a level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care sound anyway?  Tough? Naa.
I mean, yeah, it's a lot of work and at one point I was doing assignments for 7 different units all at one time, but honestly, it's okay. It would probably be better if I actually enjoyed it though, maybe?

So I dropped out of doing A-Levels last year after coming out of my first year with U, E, D & C. Not great I must say. I figure if I hadn't followed my boyfriend (now ex) to college, which by the way was 30 miles away and an hour and a half bus journey there and back every day, then I might have got the work done that I needed to, to pass my exams.
Anyhow, that's in the past, and I must say I do not miss having to wake up at 5.30am, but now I'm having trouble actually being motivated. At least last year I was doing things I enjoyed, like Psychology, that was probably my favourite to learn about, and yet that's the one I did the worst in. Then there was English, I only got a C at the end because my coursework was so good, I just really suck at exams.

Right now it's Easter break, I have an assignment due in the day we go back, and I've barely started it. I know, I know, I've got nearly two weeks, but I probably won't get it done. And I'll be stuck at college 'til I don't know when on that Monday back rushing my ass off to get it done. Yeah, I could be doing it now instead of writing all this crap, and I have got it all open at the bottom of my screen, it's just effort.

I need a break from things, I mean I don't ever get a day off. Every weekday I'm at college, then weekends I have work...

Maybe I'll start it in the second week. Maybe.
